Felted bowl

Just prior to Christmas we were lucky enough to have my sister and her husband visit us. They've been living in New Zealand for the past several years and the trips back to Oz are far to few I  have to say. Whenever we are together there is always crafting of some sort happening. This trip it was the enjoyable craft of felting. I had recently bought some fibre from Moseley Park and my sister thought it would make a great bowl. She was right.

The fibre is English Leicester in Winter Waters and Pacific Pearls.

The bowl was made using the wet felting technique and embellished using needle felting and embroidery. It looks good on both sides so it can be reversible.

Yes it was a lot of fun and I have heaps more fibre so there will be more felting going on around here for sure.

Cheers,
Lynda

  1. That turned out really cool! I can see why you had a hard time stopping - the temptation to add just one more thing would be tough to resist!
