My latest knitting project is the Azzu Shawl by Emma Fassio and I am happy to say it is finished. I loved this project and I'm so happy with the end result. I used a different yarn than specified and I knitted it on 6mm needles to give a light and airy effect. The yarn is Sorrento by Patons and the yarn gives a shimmer and shine to the shawl. There are so many contrasts from the sheen of the yarn to the texture brought about by the smooth thread plied with the slubbed cotton. It is particularly lovely when part of the shawl twists around and you get added texture from both sides of the knitted fabric. The shawl is quite large and long when stretched out but can also be wrapped round to look small. I love that it is so versatile and can be worn as a scarf, shawl, neckwarmer etc. It's squishy and soft - a perfect Spring accessory.
Cheers,
Lynda
